Taste of Greek

Taste of Greek is a small Greek restaurant in central Benidorm, located on Calle Gerona in the Levante area. Its concept is straightforward: traditional Greek flavours served in an informal restaurant setting, making it an interesting alternative to the British pubs, Spanish restaurants and international venues that dominate this part of town.

The restaurant is relatively compact and has a terrace, giving it a more intimate feel than many of the larger establishments around Levante. Current diner feedback is particularly positive about the friendly service and homemade character of the food.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The menu is unmistakably Greek. Current offerings include mezedes, souvlaki, gyros and moussaka, together with meat and vegetarian plates accompanied by choices such as rice, fries or potato wedges, tzatziki and salad. Vegetarian and vegan options are specifically identified on the current menu.

Drinks go beyond the standard beer and wine selection. The menu includes cocktails as well as Greek-inspired creations such as the Santorini Sunset, Athens Mule and Mykonos Breeze.

Coffee is also available, although the evening-only schedule means Taste of Greek is clearly positioned as a dinner and drinks venue rather than a daytime café.

For digital nomads and long-stay visitors, its main value is social rather than work-related. It’s somewhere to have dinner after work, meet friends or simply add another international cuisine to the rotation when living in Benidorm for several months.
