Estrella de Mar is a small boutique aparthotel in the heart of Benidorm’s Old Town, offering a very different experience from the city’s large resort hotels. The property has just eight fully equipped apartments, combining the independence of a holiday apartment with some of the practical services associated with a hotel.

Location is one of its strongest points. Both Levante and Poniente beaches are only a few minutes away on foot, while Plaza Mayor, the Old Town, shops, cafés, restaurants and the Balcón del Mediterráneo are all within easy walking distance. This makes it particularly attractive for visitors who want to experience central Benidorm without relying on a car.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The apartments are designed for self-contained living rather than simply providing somewhere to sleep. Kitchens include a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, toaster, coffee machine and kitchenware, while apartments also have private bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, safes and living and dining areas. Depending on the accommodation type, guests have a balcony or city views.

There are different configurations. The accessible ground-floor studio measures around 26 m² and accommodates two people, while the apartments with balconies are around 28 m² and can accommodate up to four. The building has a lift, and accessible studios include step-free showers, support bars, wider access points and wheelchair-adapted bathrooms.

For a digital nomad or someone spending several weeks in Benidorm, the combination of proper cooking facilities, Wi-Fi, a desk, soundproofing and laundry facilities is particularly useful. It offers considerably more day-to-day independence than a conventional hotel room while retaining a very central Old Town location.
