Ramen Yi is an Asian restaurant in central Benidorm, close to the Old Town and the busy shopping streets around Tomàs Ortuño. Despite the name, ramen is only part of the offering: the restaurant combines ramen with sushi, gyoza, Japanese-style curry, yakisoba, rice dishes, bao and other Asian favourites.
Ramen is nevertheless the speciality. The restaurant offers numerous variations, ranging from Wagyu miso and shoyu ramen to tonkotsu, spicy ramen and vegetable versions, making this one of the more dedicated ramen options in central Benidorm.
WHY IT’S GREAT FOR DIGITAL NOMADS
✔ Central location convenient for the Old Town
✔ Extensive ramen selection
✔ Sushi and plenty of alternatives for non-ramen diners
✔ Vegetarian ramen available
✔ Good option for either lunch or dinner
✔ Useful change from Benidorm’s Mediterranean and European restaurants
WHAT TO EXPECT
The ramen menu is unusually extensive. Options include Wagyu Miso Ramen, Wagyu Shoyu Ramen, Spicy Cha Shu Tonkotsu Ramen and Chicken Shoyu Wantun Ramen, alongside several vegetarian versions. The restaurant says its ramen broths are slow-cooked for hours to develop their flavour.
There’s plenty beyond ramen as well. The current menu includes chicken and vegetable gyoza, karaage, Japanese curry with rice, yakisoba, takoyaki, edamame, bao, nigiri, maki, uramaki and sashimi. That variety makes Ramen Yi particularly useful when eating with a group where not everyone wants the same type of Asian food.
For remote workers and long-stay visitors, its central location and separate lunch and dinner services make it an easy restaurant to incorporate into an ordinary working day rather than somewhere requiring a special trip.

OPENING HOURS
There is an important discrepancy here. The restaurant’s official website currently lists Wednesday as closed, while the hours you supplied show it open every day. The official site also lists service until 16:30 and 23:30, with the kitchen closing at 16:00 and 23:00.
For the directory, I would therefore currently use the official restaurant hours:
