Broodje Benidorm

Broodje Benidorm is a Dutch bakery and café in the Rincón de Loix area, specialising in freshly baked Dutch bread, filled rolls, pastries and traditional savoury snacks. Established in 2023, its concept is deliberately focused on bringing familiar Dutch bakery products to Benidorm rather than operating as a conventional Spanish cafeteria.

It is particularly interesting for Benidorm’s sizeable Dutch community and long-stay visitors from the Netherlands, but you certainly don’t need to be Dutch to appreciate freshly prepared sandwiches, bread and pastries for breakfast or lunch.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The selection goes considerably beyond coffee and a simple sandwich. The bakery produces several styles of bread, including tiger bread, wholemeal and multigrain varieties, alongside filled rolls with ingredients such as carpaccio, mature cheese, tuna salad, spicy chicken, salmon, brie and warm ham.

There is also a distinctly Dutch selection of sweet and savoury bakery products. Depending on availability, these can include appelflappen, gevulde koek, sausage rolls, cheese pastries, frikandelbroodjes, saucijzenbroodjes and seasonal specialities.

Products are baked fresh, and the business accepts advance orders through its website or by telephone.

For digital nomads, Broodje Benidorm is better considered a breakfast, lunch and takeaway stop than an all-day café. Its relatively short opening hours make it particularly useful for picking up something fresh before starting work, taking a morning break or grabbing lunch to take back to your accommodation.
